Surrey Hills Waldorf

Continuing my fascination with other people's Waldorf's / Marriots... here's one that sold early 2013 (Marh or April) ... also with the Chatsworth fascade..

The fascade:

The driveway:

The backyard:
They've enclosed the terrace, left the alfresco and added the extra family / rumpus rooms to the back. Looks a bit funny with the extension sticking out like that I think. Might work nicer to extend the roof out and join to make a grand alfresco.

From the side:
Look at the size of that big fixed window. According to the floorplan, this should be at least 3.6m wide and way more than 1.5m tall! This is definitive proof that Porter Davis can, and have installed bigger windows than mine before! For anyone else pre-tender, you can use this photo as backup if they also tell you they can not make 3.6m x 2.1m fixed one piece windows.

The balcony:

The Family Room:

The Lounge:

The Kitchen:

The Home Theatre:

The Rumpus:

The Master Ensuite:

  1. Amazing tiles! The colours of the cabinets and drawers seems too dark to me though, when you pair them with those tiles. I much prefer silk gloss over natural laminate for the ensuites too.

Interior Paint - Wattyl Winter Mushroom

Painting is complete. We've gone for the grey finish to the walls. Here's how the Winter Mushroom looks. Originally we thought of doing white for the architraves and doors but got convinced by the colour consultant to use the same paint all round. Was a bit worried at first but it has come off nicely.

Cedar Plank Palandri Carpets Laid

Carpets were laid just before Christmas except for the master bedroom which was getting its squeaks fixed .  We picked the Palandri Category 2 carpets in Cedar Plank colour. Nothing too fancy as Category 2 was the included freebie and we didn't want to pay the Porter Davis premium for upgrades. Figured when it's better to let the kids wear out this one and replace it in a few years time at a much cheaper cost per square metre. Here's a roll of carpet. The most excited I've ever been to see a roll of carpet :)

PCI Checklist

My Practical Completion Inspection is on in about 12 hours time! Here's a comprehensive checklist I've copied from the Homeone forums.
