Dusty Rock Waldorf

Found this waldorf on sale earlier this month. I love looking at other people's Porter Davis finishes. Enjoy... :) The Chatsworth facade: Wonder where I've seen that before... :) Looks like standard roof tiles but upgraded wooden window frames. The choice of dark garage door is nice. The bricks look like the thin version of my hawthorn ones from Austral.

$2.28 million Waldorf

You guys will love this one! Found what has to be pretty close to the most expensive Waldorf ever sold. $2.28 million sold July last year. Looks every bit the part! Stirling Facade You can't tell that much but there is a massive slope to this block. So much so, you can really only see the top floor from street level. The photographer did well masking that with this clever angle The back: Here you can get a better sense of how much slope there is here. Must be over 3m! I am surprised Porter Davis even built on this block. I originally thought having only 2/3rds of the back as a alfresco would look a bit odd but it actually looks okay. Notice they have enclosed the rear due to overlooking issues probably.  Alfresco:  Beautiful tiling Dining Room: With the enclosed rear option, there is meant to be a supporting pole in the middle of this room. I read on the forums that this pole / plumbing stack / whatever could not be avoided. How did these guy...

Surrey Hills Waldorf

Continuing my fascination with other people's Waldorf's / Marriots... here's one that sold early 2013 (Marh or April) ... also with the Chatsworth fascade.. The fascade: The driveway: The backyard: They've enclosed the terrace, left the alfresco and added the extra family / rumpus rooms to the back. Looks a bit funny with the extension sticking out like that I think. Might work nicer to extend the roof out and join to make a grand alfresco. From the side: Look at the size of that big fixed window. According to the floorplan, this should be at least 3.6m wide and way more than 1.5m tall! This is definitive proof that Porter Davis can, and have installed bigger windows than mine before! For anyone else pre-tender, you can use this photo as backup if they also tell you they can not make 3.6m x 2.1m fixed one piece windows.  The balcony: Dining Room The Family Room: The Lounge: The Kitchen: The Home Theatre: The ...

Blackburn Waldorf

Another lovely waldorf... sold Oct 2013 for  $1.275 million on a 585sqm block in Blackburn.  Stirling facade. Those two big pots look very familiar... I've seen that dining table set before... Look! It's that book coffee table again! This the floorplan of a Waldorf 43 Judging by the decor, I suspect either the same furniture hire people have been used for the sale as the Forest Hill waldorf ... or it is the same seller doing this for a living! Both houses were sold by Barry Plant Blackburn so it's hard to guess.

Forest Hill Waldorf

Found this Waldorf on Realestate.com.au (address deliberately withheld in respect of the new owners privacy) . They did a great job on all the selections! Love how the greys all flow and complement each other in the facade, steps and driveway! I hope my greys turn out ok cos I didn't do a full render like this one. I am surprised they were able to put a light next to the downpipe on the garage. Was told this couldn't be done.  They've kept the Blanco appliances and chose the glass canopy rangehood - so have we :) That's the standard promo staircase but the floorboards are definitely a post handover job. You can tell because there's no sign of any quads anywhere! Just want to say.. what a funky coffee table! We've allowed for a pendant light over the dining room too. Just need to choose a nice one. That's a huge stacker door! Theatre with no bulkheads.  The picture must be from a projector. It is huge.  Upstairs ...
